VFI works to Protect the Right of Trafficking Victims

During 2007 & 2008, VFI's Women & Child Protection and Empowerment (CPE) Program Coordinator, Kongseng Sirivath, has worked with a multi-stakeholder group (The Lao government, NGOs & the UN) to draft two major human protection policy documents: Guidelines to Protect the Rights of Child Victims of Trafficking, in Southeast Asia, and Lao National Guideline for Protection of Trafficking Persons (draft in process). In this way, VFI is working both at the policy level and directly with victims to address the terrible tragedy of human trafficking.
