Home.. Countries.. Cambodia.. Land & Livelihoods.. Action Research

The Action Research project focuses on indigenous land issues in northeastern Cambodia. The project seeks to better understand the pressures that communities face in maintaining access to resources that sustain life and livelihoods, and how they are mobilizing to address threats to access and use. Also, the research seeks to understand the support needed by communities to strengthen their capacity to secure/reclaim and protect their land and natural resources.

The research process is a collaborative initiative of communities engaged in land struggles, supported by national, regional and international Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)

KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

  • Capacity development: A Capacity Development Team made up of Khmer leaders was trained.
  • Research was conducted into regional community organizing resources, various development models and processes.
  • A support to knowledge generation among community-led networks.
  • The project provides training to a new team of researcher from indigenous communities to clarify data, and collate, analyze and document all research activities.
