Objectives of the guidebook

The following are the objectives of this guidebook:

• To raise awareness in rural areas of the dangers of human trafficking and how to combat, and also punish offenders of human trafficking;
• To prevent vulnerable people and previous victims of trafficking become victims of trafficking in persons;
• To disseminate essential policies of the government on protection of the rights and interests of victims and also the participation of the society to prevent, protect and help victims of human trafficking;
• To raise people’s awareness of rights and responsibilities of the relevant individuals or organizations who play important roles in helping the victims of human trafficking;
• To provide a reference document to the related organizations to disseminate and advertise legislations and regulations of the government on human trafficking.
